General Surgery is the branch of medicine that deals
primarily with the diagnosis and surgical treatment of the abdominal
organs. General surgery also involves breast surgery, parathyroid,
and thyroid surgery. The following is a list of the many types of
procedures our physicians perform. Many of these procedures can be
performed laparoscopically. Please speak with your surgeon for more

· Adhesiolysis for the treatment of abdominal adhesions

lumpectomy, mastectomy for evaluation of breast lumps, cysts, or

Vascular Surgery is the branch of medicine that addresses
problems associated with the circulatory system. Common disorders
treated by vascular surgeons include blocked arteries in the
extremities, abdomen and neck, aneurysms, varicose veins and foot
ulcerations. We specialize in the following surgical procedures:
· Carotid thromboendarterectomy for the treatment of carotid
stenosis which can lead to stroke and stroke-related symptoms
· Open abdominal
aortic aneurysm repair for the treatment of abdominal aortic
aneurysm
· Endovascular
repair of abdominal aortic aneurysm
· Dialysis grafts
and catheters for the treatment of kidney failure
· Vascular bypass
for atherosclerotic disease resulting in claudication (pain when
walking), rest pain (pain in the legs at rest), ulceration of the
legs, and gangrene
· Embolectomy or
thrombectomy to remove arterial blockages

stripping of varicose veins
